All  ideas, dreams, plans and projects need some kind of calculation or numerical analysis before they can be implemented.

CALCULO is a Norwegian company that offers assistance with calculations; feasibility assessments, life cycle cost, quantification of uncertainty and risk analysis for all  projects. CALCULO also offers project management and assistance to the project manager in civil engineering projects. 

The name  CALCULO is Latin and means: "I calculate". The slogan  "Calculare necesse est" reflects  CALCULO's business concept and means: "Calculation is necessary".

The expression "Columbi egg" is used about the solution that few could think of, but which appears obvious as soon as it is presented.  The expression refers to the anecdote of Columbus, who showed how to make an egg stand on end by means of a trick .

The super-ellipse is the chosen shape of the logo because the tri-dimensional super-ellipsoid - also called super-egg - has the property that it is in stable balance and can stand on it's end without trickery. 

CALCULO defines the task, assesses the risk, finds the solution and shows the safest path to the wanted goal.
